There are several captivating winter festivals that take place in Odisha. The Konark Dance Festival is held every year in December in Konark in the beautiful backdrop of the Sun Temple. Classical dance forms like Odissi, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, Manipuri and Mohiniattam are celebrated. The International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga Beach will showcase sand sculptures by noted artists with world famous Odia sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik as brand ambassador of the event. Mystic Kalinga – an inspiring international poetry festival will be held in Bhubaneswar in December as well. The exciting Odisha Men’s Hockey World League will also happen in December in Bhubaneswar and sports enthusiasts can look forward to some amazing matches.
